The CMI Green Fund supports a sustainable development initiative in underprivileged neighbourhoods.

February 2013, Trois-Rivières – Viridis Environmental President Renaud Lapierre hands Project Manager Marie-Pier Martineau-Bouchard and Coordinator Marie-Pierre Leblanc at Démarche des premiers quartiers de Trois-Rivières a cheque drawn on the CMI Green Fund.

The funds will be used to install garden bins and household composters in underprivileged neighbourhoods in Trois-Rivières. There are also plans for an educational campaign directed at a poorly educated population, as well as classes for residents on designing garden boxes, and workshops on gardening, composting, cooking and food conservation.
