Keridis BioEnergie is a joint venture resulting from the alliance of Viridis environnement and Groupe Keon, a French company specialized in biomethanization. Keridis intends to act as a developer, investor and operator in the establishment of biomethanizers. Its business model calls for partnership among farmers, communities and agri-food industries in the same region.
The biomethanization process generates a high fertilizer value digestate that the farms associated with the project will be able to recover and spread on their crops.
Viridis environnement is proposing to municipalities, MRCs and residual materials management authorities the option of the TRIOM solution for treating and recycling organic matter from garbage collected in the residential and ICI (Industrial, Commercial and Institutional) sectors. This complete biological treatment chain integrates the patented SHOC® technology, which was developed and patented in Quebec by the Research and development institute for the agri-environment (IRDA), and is used exclusively by Viridis environnement.
A joint venture owned by Viridis environnement and Service Sanitaire Fortier, the CRTMO composts organic matter sorted at the source in several municipalities in the Thetford Mines area. The compost resulting from the decomposition of these materials is used as organic soil to revegetate the surrounding mining heaps.
